Preheat the oven to 180°. Beat the eggs well until frothy. Melt the butter (or coconut oil) and mix with the eggs. Add the date paste, milk and yogurt and continue mixing. Add the flour, baking powder and cocoa and mix well.

Pour the mixture into muffin tins, add a few chocolate chips or a couple of chopped ounces (optional) and bake for 15-20 minutes (depending on the oven). Let cool on a wire rack.

In the meantime, prepare the topping. Chop the hazelnuts and set aside. Melt the chocolate in batches of 30 seconds, in the microwave, and add a little milk if necessary. Dip the cupcake dome in the melted chocolate and sprinkle chopped hazelnuts on top. Repeat with all the cupcakes. Optional: put a hazelnut in the center of the cupcake. I tried both ways and I prefer it without anything.
