Preheat the oven to 180°C. and prepare the baking pan with baking paper.

Heat the milk and then, off the heat, add the chocolate to melt. Set aside for a while and then mix until completely creamy.

In a bowl, beat the eggs, oil, vanilla and hydrated dates very well. Add the chocolate mixture and milk (not hot).

Sift all the dry ingredients and add to the previous mixture, add more chocolate chips if desired.

Fill the pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
