Preparación de la receta
1
Drain and wash the cooked lentils with water.
2
Transfer them to a bowl and mash them with a fork. Add a clove of crushed garlic, curry, sweet paprika, oregano, onion powder, salt and pepper (the spices can be changed for what you have at home or what you like the most). At this point we also add the flax seeds that MUST BE PRE-MILLED, this way we will better absorb their nutrients, they are rich in omega 3 and fiber. We also add a tablespoon of chickpea flour and knead everything, if we see that the dough is still a little sticky add another tablespoon of chickpea flour.
3
Once we have a compact dough we are going to form the balls, with half a jar of lentils I had enough for 9 meatballs. You can leave the meatballs in the fridge for a while to make them firmer, but this is optional.
4
In a tray with baking paper and a little oil we put our meatballs and put them in the oven preheated to 200 °. You can also put them in the airfryer or directly fry them normally, this is to taste of the consumer.
5
Leave the meatballs for 10 minutes, turn them a little and leave them again for another 10 minutes, I took advantage and made some broccoli at the same time to accompany them.
6
Once you take the meatballs out of the oven you can eat them just as they are with fried tomato or you can make some kind of sauce and add them to the casserole in the traditional style.
7
They are very good, high in protein, very filling and perfect if you don't like legumes very much.
