Vegetarian burgers of red beans and chickpeas

Cut all the vegetables into small pieces.

Cook them in a frying pan with a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil until golden brown. Add salt and pepper to taste! I added: salt, pepper, paprika, turmeric and garlic powder.

Add the red beans and chickpeas to the pan. Mine came cooked in canning jars. It is important to wash them before adding them to the ingredients.

When golden brown, mash the mixture with a fork.

Remove from heat and let cool

Shape the mixture into a hamburger shape. Tip: dip your hand in water for better shaping.

Dip the hamburger in egg and bread crumbs.

Fry in a frying pan with half a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil or cook on the griddle.
