In a deep saucepan, fry the previously peeled and cut garlic.

Optional: To make the dish creamier at this point we can crush sofrito. You can also grind part of the beans together with the sofrito.

Add a splash of vinegar.

Keep on high heat until it starts to boil, then lower to medium heat. Stir periodically and let reduce approximately 5 minutes (after it starts to boil).
