Oatmeal cookies

Preparación de la receta

Make the creamed dates in a food processor. *Soak them in warm water for 20 minutes beforehand.

Mix the dry ingredients (except for the chocolate which is for decoration)

Mix wet ingredients separately

Sift the dry mixture over the wet mixture and mix well until you have a consistent dough (depending on your flour you may need to add a little more flour).

Make small balls and press them to make a cookie shape.

Cut the chocolate into small pieces and decorate your cookies (I also put a small piece of chocolate as a filling in some of them).

Bake for 10 minutes at 200° and let stand on a wire rack to prevent softening.

You can decorate the cookies with whatever you like: dates, raisins, dried fruits, nuts etc or even fill them with different things like peanut butter or homemade jam! 😍

Substitutions: *The oatmeal can be neutral, in that case use dates and cinnamon or any other sweetener or flavored and optional cinnamon and sweetener. *I recommend that you taste the dough a little to see the degree of sweetness and add more or less dates, cinnamon, etc.
