Heat the pan over high heat while we make a slit in the top of each chestnut. Once the pan is hot, carefully place the chestnuts (I use tongs) with the slit facing up. Lower the heat a little, cover the pan and wait a while.

After a few minutes, we turn the chestnuts. For this you can use tweezers, two spoons.... Now the slit part should be underneath. Cover the pan and wait for another while.

From this point on, the time and process will depend on each type of stove (due to the power). The only thing you have to do is to turn the chestnuts (on one side and on the other) until you see that they are a little bit burnt on the outside and that the crack has opened a little bit, letting you see the inside of the chestnut.

Once peeled... they are ready! The resting time depends on each person; I personally like them the best when they are warm. Enjoy! 😋
