Chop all the vegetables into small pieces and sauté in a casserole with the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Fry over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir so that the beans take the flavor. Add salt and cover with water. If the beans were cooked, it is enough with about 20 minutes at medium heat or until the broth is reduced. If they are raw they will have to cook much longer. They can also be made in the pressure cooker.

If you want to thicken the broth, you can scoop out a couple of tablespoons of beans, mash them and add the mashed beans to the stew. The starch will thicken the broth.
