PreparaciĂłn de la receta

1

Soak the dates for 20 minutes in warm water, and the baked apple cut into small pieces for 3 minutes in the microwave. Then, leave only a little of the water from the dates and blend everything together.

2

Chop the almonds into small pieces and the hazelnuts into halves with a knife.

3

Gather the different dry cereals in a bowl and mix with your hands.

4

Add 3 tablespoons of the date and apple paste and mix (I do it with my hands). If we see that it is too dry, we add a spoonful at a time. It should be sticky but the cereals should be loose, because if we add too much then in the oven they stick together and it is more like a cereal bar.

5

Spread the mixture on the oven tray (preheated to 180°C, heat up and down), so that it is as flat and thin as possible to toast evenly.

6

We put the tray in the oven in the middle or one level higher. It will be there for about 25-30 minutes, but every 10 minutes stir with a spoon and leave it flat and spread out again so that everything is done homogeneously. It will be ready when it is golden brown, but be careful not to let it burn (especially near the edges of the tray)!

7

Remove from the oven, stir with a spoon and let it rest on the tray for about 15 minutes to finish drying and crisp.

8

Once cold, put in an airtight container. If you want to add chocolate chips, now is the time (or, if not, when you are going to eat it, cut an ounce into small pieces and add it).
