Chop the onion very fine and put it over low heat. When it is transparent add a tablespoon of date paste and cook until the two ingredients are integrated.

Add 3 tablespoons of fried tomato (you can add more, depending on your taste). Mix well over low heat and add a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon of mustard. We continue mixing and when everything is integrated we turn off the fire.

Transfer the sauce to the food processor, add the spices to taste and titrate. When it becomes a smooth paste, our barbecue sauce is ready.

If we like small pieces in the sauces, the spices can be added without crushing the sauce.
