Soak the lentils at least 4 hours beforehand.

After these 4 hours, drain and wash them.

Put the onion, garlic and oil in the glass. Program 4 seconds, speed 10. With the spatula we lower the remains that may have been left on the walls of the glass. We program now 6 minutes, varoma temperature, speed 1. We open the lid and add the paprika (we have to be attentive so that it falls on the base of the glass and not on the blades) and we program 1 minute, varoma temperature, speed 1.

Now add the lentils already washed and drained, the carrot slices, the potato cubes, the bay leaf, the water and the salt. Program 30 minutes, 100º, turn to the left, speed spoon.

Serve immediately.

If we do not serve them immediately they will thicken. We can always add a little water when we reheat them. These same lentils can be made into a delicious puree. Just remove the bay leaf and program at least 1 minute on speed 10.
