Once we have the puff pastry dough, peel the apples and add them in a bowl with the juice of half a lemon to prevent them from oxidizing.

We will place them in the dough, I recommend putting them a little on top of each other, because when it swells in the oven, the cake disassembles a little and there may be gaps.

(Optional) To make the little bow you see in the picture, I used two small pieces of puff pastry dough, you can be as creative as you want and if you save some dough you can make very cool designs.

Once the apples are placed, melt about 20g of butter (if you want you can add a little sugar to taste) and with a brush we will paint the whole cake.

We put it in the oven at 200° for about 25 minutes.

After 20 minutes, take the cake out of the oven and brush it with a beaten egg, then put it back in the oven until it is golden brown.
