Preparación de la receta

First, pour a teaspoon of oil in the center of the pan and when it is hot, add the tablespoon of butter* (the oil will prevent the butter from burning). *The butter is optional.

Next, add the noodles*, let them toast and when they have a dark brown color, add the rice and sauté a little. *We can use whole wheat noodles or melon seeds (type of pasta).

When the rice and noodles are integrated, add 2 glasses of water and salt.

Finally, cover, let it cook over medium heat until all the water is absorbed* and when it is ready (I always taste it beforehand to prevent it from becoming hard), remove it from the heat and let it rest for another ten minutes. *If necessary, add the other half glass of water.

*When, almost, all the water has been absorbed, we can add dried fruits (raisins, pine nuts, almonds, walnuts...). In this case I have made it simple, but I love it with raisins and walnuts or sprinkled ground pistachio 🤭. I hope you like it!!!
