Separately, fry the chopped onion and tomato. Set aside.

In another pan fry the garlic cloves, the almonds and the bread slices. Mash with a little water.

Open the pot and add the fried onion and tomato, the crushed almonds and the potato. We rectify salt and pour the necessary water.

Cook for about 10 more minutes or until the chickpeas are tender.
