Put twice as much water as quinoa in a pot to boil (e.g. half a glass of quinoa, one glass of water) and when it boils add a spoonful of soy sauce. High heat

Add the quinoa and cover (important), leave for two minutes over high heat and reduce to medium-low heat, trying to uncover as little as possible. I leave it about 10-15 minutes but if you like it harder you can leave it less.

At the same time, chop and sauté the onion and garlic with EVOO and cook the rice as we know how.
