1) Wash the figs well, remove the stalks and cut them into 3-4 pieces.

2) In a saucepan pour the water, the chopped figs and the juice of half a lemon. Turn the heat to medium.

3) When it starts to boil, lower the temperature and leave it on the heat for about 25 minutes more, stirring so that it does not stick.

4) After 25 minutes, remove from heat and blend in the same pot with a blender (check the texture, it depends if you like it with more or less pieces). If it is still thick add a little more water.

Tip: To make it last longer, I recommend vacuuming the jars. I pour the freshly made jam into the glass jars (make sure they close well), close them, turn them upside down and leave them for at least 3 hours, this way the vacuum is made and they can be stored for about 6 months. There are more ways to make the vacuum to last longer. You can find out how to do it by searching on the internet.
