The first thing to do is to marinate the bacon with oil, garlic powder, oregano, sweet or hot paprika (to taste) and salt. Chop the bacon and mix with the marinade, leave it for a while, better if you do it the day before so that it has more flavor.

Boil the peeled and chopped potatoes in plenty of water and salt for about 30 minutes.

Grill the bacon without oil. When it is done, remove it and in the same pan add a little oil and cook the garlic, add the paprika off the heat, stir and add a little water from the cooking of the potatoes.

Remove the potatoes from the pan and mash with a fork, add the fried garlic and paprika, mix well (add more cooking water if necessary) they should be light, not like a dough.

Put the bacon on a plate and put it on top (in big or small pieces as I did, to make it easier to eat).
